We drove together from Seattle down to Portland. He drove all the way, in his car. We listened to each other’s music, talked about everything from his job to my job, friends to career, to cars and girls. It was a very rewarding time and we learned a great deal about each other.
We have been very close, my son and I, since the day he was born and he spent the first night in this world sleeping on my chest. But as he has grown and become a young adult, we have found there are different things we both like. Even though he is my mini me just as I was my father’s mini me, this trip solidified our closeness and gave us even more great memories together. I highly recommend each parent take a road trip with each of their children.
Life can often come down to perspective making all the difference. How w
e see things, how we see others, can be the deciding factor between success or failure, friendship or enmity, a lost opportunity or a friend for life.
This period in my life has been crazy busy. I am moving fast in my new job, recording albums, talking with agents and publishers, performing live, writing books, running festivals and working with book cover artists. Through this growth period I have been experimenting with altering perspectives and it is changing my life!
I am Celtic and I keep in touch with my Celtic routes. This involves eating Celtic food, visiting Celtic pubs, touring Celtic castles and reading Celtic literature, as well as performing Celtic music with Celtic instruments.

After playing drums in multiple rock bands including one in England, recording a cd, having a release party, touring the west coast of the United States and having a blast, I have been out of music for a while. It was time to start looking for a band again or time to find a band that was looking for a drummer. Well, I finally found one. Now it is time to buy a drum kit again since I sold mine years ago.
I feel like a rock star as I shop for drum kits, remembering so many good times, places, venues, recording, enjoying the chemistry and experience of being part of an elite musical band. Now I find that I have missed it more than I know and that playing on stage live is one of the things I miss most. So here goes, I am rehearsing and planning a tour again soon!
When I lived in England, I so looked forward to the carnivals and fetes that would come to the city where I lived every Summer! There was so much fun to be had, with the rides, food, music and festivities!
Now I enjoy those same carnivals and fetes here in Seattle where I live each Summer. They are also filled with rides, like the spinning dragons, Scrambler and bumper cars! The food is wonderful and the music is enchanting. Ah, I live Summer and festivals!
